NOW RECRUITING CURE LEADERS AND ROVERS FOR RACE DAY 9/27/09
What Are Cure Leaders?
Cure Leaders are the official "cheerleaders" of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®. Cure Leaders will be stationed at key locations along the Race course to support runners and walkers and to remind us about important steps everyone should take to care for their breast health. They will chant the educational messages from I AM THE CURE.® while cheering on Race participants. Minimum age of 16 required and adult supervision.
What Are Rovers?
Rovers are friendly and engaging volunteers for Komen's I AM THE CURE.® program who are constantly on the go at the Race, spreading the program's messages of positive breast health. Armed with an I AM THE CURE.® Rover bag, educational flip book, stickers and breast lump key chains, Rovers intercept Race participants to talk about the importance of early detection. Rovers will ask participants a breast health question, and then reward them for participating. We are grateful for the help Rovers give our Affiliate in teaching others about breast health. Must be 18 to be a rover.
