Major step in personalized treatment — Thanks to a 2007 research grant from Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, scientists identified a set of 50 genes that oncologists can potentially use to tailor individualized treatments for all breast cancer patients.
We are a proud member of Community Health Charities of Wisconsin (CHCWI), a federation that provides access to workplace giving campaigns for its member health agencies. Through its membership the Milwaukee Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is included in both public and private workplace giving campaigns that reach over 800,000 employees throughout Wisconsin Workplace-giving campaigns allow employees to contribute from their paychecks through payroll deductions that enable a desired gift to be contributed each pay period. These campaigns allow employees to specifically choose Susan G. Komen for the Cure as the beneficiary of their contribution.
CHCWI distributes these contributions directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. CHCWI’s role is to facilitate contribution efficiency and make connections between employees and our members.
